| What a beautiful country, the friendliest people ever and the food was different and delicious. It is easy to get around in taxi's in Amman. Women must sit in the back of the taxi, not next to the driver, it is seen as an invitation, best to avoid. Buses are cheaper if you want to see Jordan, but its best to rent a car. |

Amman - The capital and heart of Jordan, Amman is a pleasant city which features some interesting sites and attractions. Amman boasts some interesting museums and excellent Roman ruins are scattered throughout the city.
Petra - Carved out of cliff face, this incredible city was capital of the Nabateaeans. The whole city is a highlight but the most impressive buildings are probably the monastery and the treasury. This incredible marvel is one of the world's greatest heritage sites.
Jerash - An incredibly well preserved Roman city, Jerash is a must see if you are in Jordan. There are some breathtaking sights here, particularly the Temple of Artemis.
Wadi Rum - For something a little different try the incredible desert landscapes of Wadi Rum in the south of the country. |
